GuildWarsGuru's Canthan Haiku Prizes await you! In celebration of the Canthan New Year, GuildWarsGuru is holding a small Haiku contest to ring in the Year of the Rabbit. We have a few prizes to give away so open some fortunes and lets celebrate with some poetry! :] What is a Haiku? In short it's a Japanese non-rhymed verse genre. The most common form for Haiku is three short lines. The first line usually contains five (5) syllables, the second line seven (7) syllables, and the third line contains five (5) syllables. (Read more: WikiHow - Write a Haiku Poem) We can't expect everyone to be able to write a serious Haiku so we're changing it up a bit. Feel free to write something funny, sad, witty, serious or anything you feel! Just make sure it's in some way related to the Canthan New Year. Once you're done, post it here in the thread and our staff will pick 3 winners on Sunday, February 6th 2011. So I heard there were prizes... It's true!
